Microarray analysis tool
GeneExpressionAnalyser
Stand-alone software tool GeneExpressionAnalyser for the interactive analysis of microarray data. GeneExpressionAnalyser has been developed at the Belarussian State University, Chair of System Analysis and Computer Simulation for the research and education community to analyze Microarray data.
POWERFUL TOOL FOR GENE EXPRESSION ANALYSING
FEATURES
GeneExpressionAnalyser is a MATLAB implemented program with a graphical user interface (GUI) which performs all steps of typical microarray data analysis:
-
Microarray data loading from Affymetrix Chips or from *.gpr-file
-
Normalization, Filtering
-
Missing value estimation, Centering and Scaling
-
Significance analysis
-
Clustering (Hierarchical, k-means), Profiles visualization
-
Principle component analysis (PCA)
-
GO-Analysis
USE
Along with the user friendly interface, GeneExpressionAnalyser offers a variety of visualization options (MA plots, boxplots, array images, clustering heatmaps etc). The GeneExpressionAnalyser output files have spreadsheet form, that can be easily opened in a spreadsheet like software such as MS Excel, or database form for further processing and storage and the analysis results can be saved as .mat files for further possible processing with MATLAB’s built-in algorithms.

INTERACT
Depending on the user’s programming experience and analysis preferences, GeneExpressionAnalyser can be used to perform analyses step by step through the GUI of the system. For the most experienced user, GeneExpressionAnalyser can also be invoked directly from MATLAB’s command window or script editor.
REQUIREMENTS
MATLAB 7.11 (R2010b) with Bioinformatics Toolbox or higher should be installed on the target computer. If MATLAB is not present in the target computer, MATLAB Component Runtime (MCR) 8.0 is required.
